X-Men Origins Wolverine vs Star Trek IMAX
May 6th, 2009 by squizzmaster

It’s true, X-Men Origins Wolverine has obliberated the box office in the U.S. and back home. But we all know this isn’t at all a true indication of the quality of the movie but more a consequence of promotional hype and anticipation. I myself have been cautiously looking forward to this movie, being a fan of the X-Men Trilogy that it piggy backs.
But at the same time I’m quite hesitant to watching something that sounds like it may taint the Trilogy that I love. My gut instinct tells me that the reviewers who have panned the movie are on the ball and I’m in no hurry to watch it.
STAR TREK 2009 – IMAX
Now THIS is a movie I’m looking forward to watching. I’ve never been a trekky as such, but for some reason I can’t get the 90’s version intro of the tv series, “star trek: the next generation” out of my head and I’m guilty of watching the series now and then too.
The 2009 movie, set to make it’s Melbourne midnight premiere in IMAX glory midnight tonight, looks like extreme quality all the way, granted with more of a focus on giving it some hollywood blockbuster power. I’ll be watching it next week hopefully when the crowds have died down a touch. I have a feeling though that this one will prove an IMAX hit for the full 2 weeks of showing.
