A Guide To Smoking Weed Socially

Though it’s nice to veg out occasionally with some music, movies, a bedroom etc I think smoking in a social environment is best. After all, you don’t want your smoking of marijuana to move away from recreational into habit. Even better is if this environment fosters conversation and laughs. I have been lucky to have had the best friends who are awesome to smoke with and there are guidelines we have loosely put into practise in order to have some of the best sessions of my life
- No sitting down rule. This includes leaning and if someone is seen to be sitting or leaning they must be given a vocal warning before being pulled back up to attention
- Stay outside. Cold, hot or in between, outside is the nicest place to be distracted only by things that encourage more conversation
- Talk about anything you want without forcing it. We find once conversation and laughs begin they have a habit of continuing
- Start a game even if it sounds ridiculous, like eye spy. If you’re smoking with the right people, they may at least give it a try
- Take it easy on the junk food (if the munchies aren’t too powerful) like chocolate. When you’re too full, it’s hard to stand around and talk.
- Take a walk around, even if its in the backyard, you will start noticing things you never noticed before
If efforts to interact and create a social environment do not seem successful for other occupants of the session, do not force them to participate in this manner. Use your judgement, give people the freedom to enjoy the session in their own way.
When it seems everyone is mentally and/or physically exhausted it is nice to do something to end the session that doesn’t require interaction, physical movement or concentration.
