Less Is More

Less is more is a philosophy I have believed in strongly for quite some time. It basically revolves around the idea of not smoking too much marijuana. By smoking too much, I mean being too stoned to actually enjoy it.
How much to smoke. Factors
Here are a few things I think should be taken into account when taking marijuana.
- Different batches of weed will hit you in different ways. Some:
- Are slow burners
- Will give you nothing for a minute then hit you like a freight train
- Get you stoned without you even realising it until you finally realise “I’m sooooo stoned”
- Are weak and require you to smoke a little more then usual - Your physical state
- If you’ve been active
- How tired your are
- Whether you are ill - Your mental\chemical state
- Frequency of marijuana usage
- The last time you smoked marijuana
- Focus
- Stress Levels
- Mood
- Under the influence of drugs or alcohol
- Preoccupied - Your method of intake
- smoking
- eating
- vapourizer
If you know yourself well, you should be able to manage your marijuana use well and smoke according to your physical and mental state.
If you are smoking a new batch of weed after one or two test runs you should have a good idea how it affects you. Start off slowly to allow the marijuana to do its thing then take it from there.
Do you need to smoke some more?
So you’ve just smoked some weed and you’re either not very high or you’ve hit a peak or two and you’re feeling a bit stagnant. Sometimes the THC is still working but we’re not doing anything to encourage it. If you have more at this stage you could overdo it and enter the vegetative state and just ruin it. There are things you can do to establish if you want or need more.
- Perhaps see how you go carrying out tasks or engaging in other activities. You may realise quick fast that you are in fact quite stoned and the small amount you have taken will suffice.
- If you have been in the one area for a while, move to another area. You may find the new environment and stimuli a pleasantly suprising, new sensation for your senses. Moving from outdoors to indoors (and vice versa) is a good way to do this
- Go for a walk
Working out how much weed you should smoke can be an art and take a certain degree of control for some people, but once you’ve worked it out, you’ll be rewarded with sessions that are brilliant from start to finish and you should pull up fairly clear headed also.
